I love it!Jan 20, 2010 I love them! They're crunchy on the inside and smooth and creamy on the outside. They're basically biscuit (malt) balls covered in chocolate. We have a weak imitation over here (Whoppers), but Maltesers are much better, I think the chocolate is a better quality, or just smoother and creamier. Actually, I don't know if Whoppers or Maltesers came first, but I definitely prefer Maltersers.
Get the 5 pack, in fact I once bought a 25 pack box and hid it from my wife. It lasted me one week and I had to see Dr. Johns, DDS soon after that.

They're additive!Sep 08, 2009 I grew up eating these yummy chocolate malt balls in Hong Kong. The chocolate is rich and creamy while the honeycomb malt center is so crisp! I love them! I tried the Whoppers and they were no comparison to the Maltesers. Too bad they're so hard to find and sold out here on Amazon. My local Cost Plus World Market carries them.

I'm addicted to them!Feb 01, 2009 BEWARE! These are highly addictive! I became obsessed with them on a trip to Scotland. The chocolate is wonderful- not that waxy coating you'd find on US malted milk balls. It is real, sweet, creamy chocolate, and the malted milk centers are to die for!

Weird and ickyJul 18, 2008 I'll stick to Whoppers, thank you very much. It's not like I don't enjoy expensive high end chocolate, either. These things have a weird aftertaste and too thick a gloppy layer of chocolate on them. I know they're supposed to be "better" malted milk balls but you can have them. I think most of the hype comes from literary people who liked Bridget Jones Diary and wanted to like these.

Throw your Whoppers away!May 20, 2008 Go ahead and forget everything you think you know about the delicacy known as chocolate covered maltballs. Now try these -> Mars Maltesers chocolate coated pieces
These little jewels are made by the same company, MARS, but they are from a different manufacturing plant in the UK. The chocolate is rich and creamy, the malt center is crisp, crunchy, and clean. The entire experience is different than what we have in the US known as "Whoppers" and some lesser known regional brands.
But be careful; once I tried Maltesers, I cannot put what I had grown to know and love in my mouth anymore. I'm scouring the web for these babies and I found them here on Amazon. Lucky for me they come in multipacks! Mars Maltesers 37g x 5 Pack
Enjoy
